Jim Todd

Jim Todd is the Chief Operating Officer for California Gold. Jim moved to Tuolumne County to join California Gold in 1987 after receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. Previously he worked for H.H. Robertson Co. during college and gained practical experience in project management.

Jim is responsible for all of the operational aspects of California Gold, including the management of both the construction and development divisions. In addition to collaborating with his partners on strategic planning issues, his duties include procuring governmental entitlements with local, State, and Federal agencies, assessing project feasibility, project management, owner representation, and scheduling. He works closely on all facets of project consultation including the coordination of design professionals to insure that every project built maximizes value to California Gold and our clients. Jim holds both an ‘A’ General Engineering and ‘B’ General Building license and is the Responsible Managing Officer for the company. Recently, Jim gained certification as a LEED-Accredited Professional.

Jim is past President of the Tuolumne County Building Industry and has served on its Board of Directors for over 20 years. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Building Industry Association of Central California and is active in governmental affairs. Jim graduated from Leadership Tuolumne County and continues to volunteer as a respected alumnus. More recently, he served on the Tuolumne County Housing Affordability Task Force representing the local building industry. In addition to being a licensed private pilot and PADI certified diver, Jim is active in coaching children’s sports.
